Our History
Starting out life in 1982 as a shirt specialist offering customers the very best tailored shirts at affordable prices. During the ’90s the business expanded into ladies and gentlemen’s tailoring maintaining the excellent quality standards that had marked its historic success. Creating an array of garments for a typical English country gentleman style and classic clothing for ladies.
In 2003 the founder, James Meade himself, retired and the company now belongs to WCF Ltd, a private company located in Cumbria specialising in small “family-run” mail-order businesses. WCF Home Shopping sell clothing that is designed and styled to last. Coordinates well, looks timeless and is of superior quality. We use wherever possible natural resources with minimum waste and impact on the environment. We design in the UK to fit our mature customers’ body shapes and make a paper pattern for every size to ensure that our garments are cut for comfort and elegance.
