About Us at James Meade

Our History

James Meade Limited started out life in 1982 as a shirt specialist offering customers the very best tailored shirts at affordable prices. During the 90's the business expanded into ladies and gentlemen's tailoring maintaining the excellent quality standards that had marked its historic success. In 2003 the founder, James Meade himself, retired and the company now belongs to WCF Ltd, a private company located in Cumbria specialising in small "family run" mail order businesses. So, with a wide range of clothing including blouses and shirts offering superb value. I'm confident you'll find something to suit you. But don't take my word for it - browse our website and see for yourself.

Our designer, who creates a beautiful selection of garments for both men and women each season, works in close conjunction with a variety of woven and print houses worldwide to put together a collection of distinctive clothing. Only when we are completely happy with the designs, the garments are made up in small quantities, by specialist manufacturers, making our collections more desirable and exclusive. Over the years we have developed our range to include everything from men's shirts, ladies' blouses to traditional separates, knitwear and accessories. We aim to offer you excellent customer service.

To maintain very high-quality standards, our technical team constantly monitor suppliers. It is because we set such high standards that we offer a unique product guarantee - it has no time limit. If you are unhappy with your purchase in any way at any time we will exchange or give you a refund in full.
